I’m a writer because that is my preferred medium, but in recent weeks I seem to have done a lot of public speaking:)

In one of these excursions I was interviewed for John Stafford’s FLYING ARTS Webinar series on Monday 12 May 2014. John is one of Australia’s most experienced arts administrators. We talked about writing about art, why it’s important, and its strategic importance for artists. The link to the video is: http://vimeo.com/95703825

The image here is a detail of a favourite installation from Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopedic Palace), La Biennale di Venezia, 2013. It was created by Eva Kotatkova (born 1982), who lives and works in Prague. It filled a room, and had a lot of detailed elements, many static, some (like this hand), live.
