Streams of ideas, science and art, and the rain moves on…

Manta Mysteries screened last night at Dunwich Museum and added natural poetry to the creativity that has continued untrammelled throughout another day of increasingly sophisticated weaving, kite-making and kite-flying, as the incidence of artworks around the Gorge Walk increases. Yesterday, Day #2 of the LINES festival proper, was magical. My children have been completely engaged by the weaving and the kite-making, claiming the weaving as a “life skill” and the kite-making the fulfilment of a life’s ambition (for an eight year old). Seeing the art develop on the Gorge Walk has also captured their imagination and turned them into participants. Best of all, the sun has emerged this morning, prophesized earlier today with a spectacularly intense rainbow seen out to sea.
