The University of Heidelberg has published Stephen Hart’s monograph on their open access ART-DOC site. “Spent Time: Stephen Hart Sculpture”, published 2011, features essays by Hendrik Kolenberg and me, and is a fully illustrated compendium of Hart’s interests in the figure and ‘the Everyman’ to 2011. An interview conducted with Stephen Hart and previously published is at: http://louisemartinchew.com/authentic-gestures-stephen-harts-fellow-humans/
Hart is departing Australia under the auspices of a Churchill Fellowship for six weeks on the road in Europe and the USA, exploring his interests in the figure through the work of international greats both contemporary and historical. This research will underpin his future development and may see either a consolidation of his work to date, or new directions, or both! You may follow his journey across continents in coming weeks at http://stephenhart.com.au.
