Before Judy Watson’s “The Edge of Memory” at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (10 November 2018 until 17 March 2019), we spoke in her Brisbane studio about recent work, its connections to the past, and the energy of new ideas. She told me that, “I am driven by curiosity. We have a certain compulsion, as artists, to follow the story.
